I intend to buy a Fujitsu S6220, and am concerned about the battery life. Are there any suggestions on how to conserve battery power and prolong the battery life? I have an IBM thinkpad that now will not work without an AC supply. The battery is just totally useless.
Thanks.

The battery has a finite life. They're getting smarter though, so there is much less to worry about.
When using the machine turn off wireless and reduce screen brightness for maximum battery life. You can also tweak the power settings to make sure you maximize battery life when unplugged.

especially fujitsu notebook, they are quite accurate about their battery life advertisement. if they say about 4 hours, then it usually around 3.5-4 hours at the maximum battery setting.

Yeah, I can get almost four hours with my S6210. Turning down the screen brightness is a big factor.
