After 2 years of everyday hard use the AC input on my S6231 developed
a bad connection.I took it into the local shop and the tech repaired it and informed me that he had to re-solder several connections and components.
I read on the net that this is not an uncommon problem with Fujitsu as the motherboard is attached to the AC input and it is not a very solid assembly.
In fact there are detailed instructions on how to dissasemble and repair.

Two months later I'm having the same problem.Rather than spend another $200 to make another temporary repair or $600 to buy and install a new mobo
I think its time to make a new purchase...a rather good excuse.
This notebook has been great other than the AC input issue ...nicer in many respects than the Thinkpads I have owned before....just not as solid.
Has Fujitsu re-engineered the AC input jack on the newer models?
Is anyone aware of any other weak areas of the newer light and thin
    Fujitsu business notebooks?
Im thinking of replacing with a 14 inch T61 XP widescreen unless I'm convinced otherwise.
