What are people's opinions on Fujitsu notebooks? It seems like I can get a pretty good deal from them. Do people like them? What is their support like? And do they use high quality parts?

Checkout all the other posts in the forums, yes Fujitsu is well respected and yes their notebooks are of quality. In general they have good customer support, but a recent poster on the boards indicated that he had a bad experienced.

They're at the top of the pile with IBM when it comes to quality.

I've had to use their support three times and never had any complaints. For many of their models, I think Fujitsu offers a tremendous value.

I think Fujitsu-Siemens offers an excellent value. For just a test,I ve called a "call and technical center of Fujitsu Siemens Headquarter in Turkey" they know everything what you dont estimate...I ask lots of hard questions and take quick and right answers back...For me Fujitsu makes well done jobs...

Well i Have alot to say about Fujitsu-Siemens. For a start i bought a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D1840 4 Days ago and there was a problem from the start! It needed a bios update because it wouldnt charge the battery so i installed the update and it made my laptop die!.....so i phoned Fujitsu they said they wouldnt do anything because i didnt consult them before i did it However it told me to do it on their website. [ :(!] And then they told me that they wanted £500 to replace the motherboard ...What a joke! Their customer support isnt very good they arnt helpful atall and if your computer is out of warranty or they void it BE PREPARED TO PAY OUT OF YOUR NOSE!!

Verdict on Fujitsu-Siemens.....Pretty good Laptops,Good Quality, Poor Customer Service!

Everyone has their horror stories. Look at the latest ratings from PC World (I think that was the report). Fujitsu and IBM came out on top for quality and reliability.
