i hope someone can help me. i like fujitsu laptops a lot and i really want to order one. unfortunately i'm living in new zealand (no offense to nz'ers) atm and fujitsu is an unknown brand here. so i was thinking of getting one online. but i've never bought anything online. most of the online shops are located in the u.s and there isn't much option in making an international order ( i think).....so any suggestion on how i can get me one of those gorgeous looking fujitsu laptop from new zealand? (i'm just a student without a job XD so i hope it wont be too expensive) can anyone help?

Have you had a look at http://nz.lifebook.com.au/?
-
Did you try contacting Fujitsu NZ to see if they can help?
http://www.fujitsu.com/nz/shop/consumer/
Also, you could try www.portableone.com and see if they can help you. Either email or call Ivan. -
thanks a lot!! u've all been a great help
btw if i call portable one to make an international order, do i get charge for the call? sorry im being a noob haha -
Are you asking if there's a charge for an international phone call? Uh, yeah, I don't know of anyone offering free international calls, at least not in the US and not through traditional phone companies. Try email if that's a problem.

lol dumb me XP anyway, does it make a difference if the laptop is made in china or japan? i just feel better if it's made in japan but there's quite a big difference in price....
is it worth the money to get a japanese made rather than a cheaper china made one? just wondering.

:fujitsu: -
People keep talking about how their notebook shipped from Japan, but I haven't seen anyone actually post that the sticker on the bottom of their fujitsu reads "made in Japan". Mine was made in Taiwan. An N5010 I bought just over a year ago.
-
Many are made in Japan, the Fujitsu P7000 is for instance.
-
my n6010 is made in china
-
my S7020D is made in Japan...
-
found out that N3510 is made in taiwan....
not in japan
and it's the ONLY model that is made in taiwan [the rest is made in japan]. it's the ONLY fujitsu desktop replacement model that is available in NZ too. bummer :budget: :budget: :budget:
-
-
cool :fujitsu: anyone owns a N3510 that's made in japan?
-
No, the N3510 is not made in Japan at all from what I can tell.
-
ahh i see. thanks for the info.....waiting for the money now
can't wait to get my N3510. Can someone tell me how to check for dead pixels?
-
with the dead pixel buddy!!!!..of course

I believe both the N6010 and N3510 are made in china.
-
My 6231 also says made in Japan.
-
That settles it, then. Some, indeed, are made in Japan. Too bad mine wasn't. I'm glad that it hasn't died yet. Come on 2 more years... No whammy, no whammy!
:fujitsu: -
lol anyway, thanks to LuckMC11 for the website
and also thanks to all the people who replied. [i would have gotten a toshiba instead of fujitsu if it wasn't for your help] :fujitsu:
cheers. -
does N3510 have built in microphone? like some of sony vaio has?
-
The Fujitsus I've been looking at (S7020,S7021) are made in Japan.
You could try ordering from a company here in Oz - www.cworld.com.au
for example has the best prices I've seen on most Fujitsus in Oz. -
The website stated above indeed does have the best prices. However, from personal experiences, customer service is not their top priority.
