I've searched this forum for information about this Fujitsu series but found none. Thinking about buying one of these or a Vaio I'm wondering if there's any particular reason why this series is not talked about as much and how it compares in terms of quality to say the S series.

Is it because of the weight? The battery life?

    Thanks in advance.

The C2310 is a very nice unit which has the normal excellent Fujitsu quality and support. It's not a real popular model though, as Fujitsu buyers historically have gone thin and light. That is until they launched their DTR not too long ago. It is heavier and with the larger display, will have shorter battery life than the thin and lights, but it does have the DV screen, which is excellent.

Just out of curiousity, what's the most high spec game an integrated graphic can run? Sim City 4 or Rise of Nations at least?

I can run UT2004 on my P5020 with only a PM 1.0. Sure it's at low settings, but it's enjoyable.

I bought a c2310 from my local fry's electronics last friday. I really like it as a desktop replacement....but not as a laptop. The feature set is pretty nice overall, especially the CV screen. But the c2310 is freakin HUGE, making it way too big/heavy. The worst part is that the battery only lasts for 2.5 hours, where other centrino lappies average 4 hours.

Oops...missed my comments on that last post...

Try the optional extended battery. That's supposed to double the battery time.

    adcarlson,

Thanks, I know about the extended battery but I have to carry around my laptop a lot for work. So, I think I'm gonna return it and either get a Fujitsu E4010D or a Gateway 450XL special.

    Both have everything I need:
    1. sxga screen
    2. serial port
    3. 4+ hour battery
    4. less than 7 lbs.
    5. less than $1600

I'm leaning heavily toward the gateway because its lighter and has firewire ports, but I might be able to get a discount from a friend on the fujitsu.
