    Cant get Svideo out to work on S6231!!

    fellow S6231 users. i cannot get my svideo out to work at all. on one of my tvs, the screen turns black and gray and flickers. on another TV, it just doesnt even show up.

    I went to fujitsu site and downloaded new chipset and video drivers but neither worked, i went to windows updates and it says i have no updates now.

    what should i do?

    I had the same problem as you (nothing on the screen and flickers). Try the following:

    Go into display properties -> settings.
    Click on the '2' monitor, and check the box 'extend my desktop to this window'.

    Hit apply, and you should see your background on the tv now. Then you can adjust the #2 monitor to the proper res. I don't know if there is an option for clone or not, but my only intention was to watch movies full screen on the tv. You can do this by dragging the windows media player window over to the tv screen and double click for full screen. you can do stuff on your laptop screen while watching something on the tv.

    that is exaclty what i been trying to do.

    When i click extend desktop i get the flicker or nothing at all. it sucks. i dunno what to do?

    any tech savy people out there?

    hey brian

    i had alrdy gone to the intel extreme properties. but i didnt realize what the exact problem was for a while

    I went to fujitsu went site, and i did the live chat at 2am! i had a guy named duncan and he helped me one on one, we found out in intel extreme properties that the television settings were set on pal and not ntsc. really simple to fix but i just didnt think about it.

    But it made me appreciate fujitsu customer support alot, instead of beening on hold forever on a phone like dell, i was in a chat room instantly with someone that seem to know common problems well.

    The gray and flicker make it sound like a PAL/NTSC problem.
    Try switching to NTSC if you live in N. America.
