    Sorry:

I had deleted my initial post, and intended to edit it with an explanation.

I had originally posted here that I was ordering a T4010D, but I decided at the last moment that my needs would be better met with a Thinkpad.

I have posted my reasons for this in the IBM section.

    Thanks to all.

ALSO, NO DISRESPECT TO FUJITSU OWNERS, WHATSOEVER!!
I think that the Fujitsu notebooks are quality products.
A Thinkpad will suit my needs better at this time, however.

Well, good luck to you, I know you invested a lot of time in this decision. Also, please consider posting this and other thoughts at our fledgling tablet site, www.bargaintabletpc.com

I'm sure Barry would love to have you post a full review when it shows up.

I missed his original message. What type of tablet did Mr aamsel decide on?

    Sorry, Brian!

I meant to come back and re-edit that, which I have now done, above.

It's a personal discovery finding which set of features is most important. The IBM build and resale value are tempting, but at what cost? I start shying away when the purchase price approaches $2500 for all the features I want.

At this point I have received two Thinkpads, and already sent the T42 XGA back. VERY poor screen. I may keep the X31, just not sure yet. Not a great screen, but better than the T42 by a lot.
Still considering Fujitsu, but I can't do high resolution or glare with my eyes. They just can't take it!

I just saw an S6200 at FRY's tonite (again) and my concerns are:
1.) It doesn't seem very solid, the screen casing "wiggles" extremely easily.
2.) Lot of glare from the screen (at least under FRY's bright lights.)
3.) Viewing angles are not tremendous.
4.) You can't get a "great" warranty (accidental damage, etc) from Fujitsu, just a very expensive screen warranty and the standard warranty.
Yes, the color depth and contrast seem very nice.

At this point, with all the "waffling" I have done (A LOT) I am out many, many hundreds of dollars in shipping and return shipping.
I could have bought a used notebook by now with the money I have lost!
