    Hello everyone.
When the laptop is off and you plug it into the charger, how do you know when the battery is 100% charged? Is there like a light on the outside that alerts you when it is done charging? This has me confused. Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately there is no way of knowing the charge status unless the computer is on.

I have a semi related question. How do I preserve the life span of the battery as long as possible? (ie prevent life decay).

I was told the number 1 rule for a notebook is if you can plug it in, plug it in. However, if I do so am I suppose to remove the battery from the notebook to prevent battery life decay?

    thanks.

edit: silly me, I forgot there is a sticky thread of my question in the hardware section. Sorry about that.
