I'm planning to buy a Fujitsu and am trying to choose between four models. I'm not interested in the 2110 / 2020 models, as I'm told that the AMD models have a low battery life. So I've got only these four models to choose from (only these are available where I live). The following are my priorities:

    1. Low heat
    2. Great battery life (working hours)
    3. Build quality
    4. Faster hard disk (5400 rpm)
    5. S-Video

I know that they are of different screen sizes, but I'm okay with both 13.3" and 14" screens. I did search the forums but ended up getting even more confused about these models. If you can rate these models based on my parameters, that would be pretty helpful!

    Thanks in advance!

I think the issue is more about size, do you prefer the 13.3" or 14"?

I'm OK with both sizes - have seen them personally and they're both acceptable as there isn't a major difference in weight.

Not to try to make your life difficult, but the s2110 actually has better battery life than the s6240. The fact sheets from Fujitsu show a 30 minute difference, but the 2110 review on this site shows that it might even be greater. The old AMD chips may have had a worse battery life, but the new Turion 64 MT are actually lower power than the current Sonoma Pentium M.

The s7010 uses the Dothan Pentium M which runs cooler and has better battery life.

ZazonZ, doesn't 6220 use a Dothan chipset too? And I read somewhere that the 7010 does not have S-Video and that the build quality of 6220 and 7010 are lower than their latest counterparts. Is that true?

I think so on the Dothan. I don't think the s7010 has S video, could be wrong. The older S series I have seen seemed go to me. There's lots of reviews on the reviews page if you want to check some out to see what others thought of them, older and newer. Good Luck.
