Near the beginning of the month, my girlfriend's Lifebook C Series just died. The battery stopped charging, and she was told that it was a problem with the power chord. However, after purchasing a new chord, that doesn't seem to be the issue, as it still doesn't charge.

The machine will not work when plugged in, with or without the battery inserted. It is just dead, providing no response whatsoever.

Has this happened to anyone? It looks like its 'done for' but I would be glad to entertain any thoughts on how to possibly revive it.

    Thanks in advance.

same problem with my old toshiba, won't charge won't run on ac power. support told me the mother board was dead, it was under warrenty so i had them repair it and it work after(for 1 hour) then the motherboard went again, but after that replace it worked for a while(Don't really like toshiba, anymore...)

i would say you motherboard is fried, so if you can find another one you could repair it but it likely not worth it.

Thanks for your response yuio. I'm sure that's the problem with the Fujitsu. Its time for her to get a new one anyway.
