I'm just about ready to buy a laptop for home use and have almost settled on the 6210. I will use it mainly for office apps and internet. I'm also a writer and plan to make this my dedicated machine for writing. I type quick and lite--never more than 2 hours at a time. The keyboard is a key concern. I use a Thinkpad T30 for telecommuting for work and LOVE the keyboard, however, I'm not otherwise thrilled with the rest of the machine or the price and like the features & price of the 6210 better. So my question is: how's the keyboard for data input, i.e. spacing & size of keys, too little or too much "bounce", etc? I don't have an opportunity to test the 6210 in person. (I can order from Fujitsu directly and get a 10% corporate discount.)
Which laptop has the best keyboard next to IBM?
Thanks,
Erin

I saw your other post in the hardware forum, so let's keep this Fujitsu specific. I think the keyboards are great, but not as good as IBM. If you look at something like the S6210, I think you'll be happy, short of the non-dedicated home, end and paging keys.

Thanks, Brian. The HP NC6000 was mentioned as a good one on the other forum, but it's priced $1400 more than I can get the Fujitsu. The keyboard ain't worth that much! I've seen your and others reviews on here about the S6210 and I like what I'm reading.
Decent Keyboard?
