So I was just watching a movie on my Lifebook 6220 and I realized there is a sort of small patch of discoloration on the screen. At first I thought it was just dirt, but it turns out the pixels are like a greenish white. Are these dead pixels? [ :(] I really hope not. They are sort of annoying and I didn't get the screen warrenty option, although I did get a 4 year warrenty with Fujitsu. Suggestions?? Help!

    Thanks.

Now that I look at them closer they do seem to have also a reddish tint... so I guess they are stuck pixels, but it seems there are like about 25 of them [xx(]! So you suggest to just rub it and hope they go away?

pixels that are colored like green or red and stay that way are called stuck pixels. alot of people rub them softly for a while and they return to normal. but some stay stuck for a long time and then die or some stay stuck for a long time and go normal again. having a few is normal to some people. i have 3 dead pixel on my 2001Fp LCd. also from 5 LCDs i got from dell, all had dead/stuck pixels.

NYYankeeGirl, there is a software that displays R, G, & B separately on the entire screen so you can tell if you have stuck pixels. I have it but I don't remember where i got it it from. If you want I can email it to you, its only a couple of K's.
