I sure wish there was something that would control the fan speed and temp. points on the A6120. Tried SpeedFan, NHC, and all the Thinkpad variants. No joy. Doesn't need to be free, just functional. ForgetYou Ltd. hid the fan control outside ACPI to keep notebook morons from tampering with a laptop that could fry an egg on the CPU under full load.

There isn't one... fan control is covered at cooling central and the only one that is easily controllable is the Dell series minus the XPS line

i've already spent hours at cooling central since I've tried al the programs listed there. Be assured that if I find or develop one for a Fujitsu notebook, I won't clutter up the Fujitsu Peer to Peer forum with the news. Thank you for the lesson in forum ettiquite

Oh, yes, I'm looking for such program myself.
The only thing that might work is writing ACPI file for NHC that will tell motherboard that it is very hot (or very cold) and mobo will start cooling like crazy (or not, depending if you want to cool down or quietness). Though I'm not a programmer so I'm struggling with ACPI code...

Well at least there's another person looking for the same thing. In the A6120, the fan is not controlled in the ACPI that's why it's not easy. Apparently at NHC, you have to submit your ACPI file and other OS parameters and then sit back annd beg someone to write the two custom fles that NHC needs to do fan control through embedded controllers on your particular model. I've gotten to the point where I'm going to wire the +5v wire (only) to a stable source somewhere on the MB. That way, at least, I'll get 100% fan all the time. At least it'll be quiet because the fan output goes through the CPU heatsink (silencer) on it's way out the back of the laptop where any leftover noise will be shielded by the LCD screen.
I'll bet you didn't appreciate X2P's smug answer, either.
Does ANYBODY know of a fan control prog?
