When you press firm on the back of the display does the Fujitsu show the ripple effect on the screen? I have a Toshiba m35 and it does not do this, the back of the screen is very strong. But I was at Circuit City and I tested the new m45 and when you press on it it get ripples, also some of the Sony laptops as well. I even tried the HP dv1000 model and it did too but not as much as the rest. I was just wandering if all the new notebooks are going to be like the new Toshiba m45 and is this a problem? I love my M35 but I'm wanting a smaller notebook like the HPdv1000 models, but I heard Fujitsu is a great notebook.
Thanks,
Scott

I don't know about Fujitsu laptops, but I remember my old Sony laptop having that exact problem. But then that Sony laptop was completely worthless. Does anyone know if this ripple effect happens on the Fujitsu's S6000 series in particular?

No it wont get ripples. The LCDs on Fujitsus are Magnesium. The LCDs casing is 30x's stronger than plastic, it will not give to any pushing..

Thanks I hope now they come out with a wide screen about 13 or 14" with the Sonoma chip.
