Hey guys just wondering what is your experience with the screen (or lid, what ever you wanna call it) hinges on Fujitsu notebooks. After 2 yrs of use, there is a fair amount of give in the hinges of my Toshiba, meaning that if I push or pull the lid it wobbles a little bit before showing any sign of resistance.

This really bothers me. To me that's a sign of a cheap build. Does this also happen with Fujitsu notebooks. For those of you who have had them for a while do you also have this problem. Does your screen wobble at all before it shows any type of resistance when pressing on it? Right now, since my lappy is new, the lid is still nice and tight (ok..make your own joke and let your imaginations run wild), but will it stay that way. I hope that Fujitsu has a better quality build than my P30 and wont feel sloppy after a while.

all hinges will be like that after sometime. i think that squeeky and loose feeling tells you to change notebook :p just kidding

but still, that is natural to all notebooks. wobbliness in screen should only appear after 2years i think. about a year maybe if you treat your notebook like some door.

Kewl, thanks a lot. My friends S7010 is more than 2 yrs old, infact close to 3, and his hinges are still as tight as they were the day his notebook arrived, therefore I wanted to check if this is the normal and expected of all Fujitsu's.

Anyhow, thanks for all help :)

Fujitsu puts alot of effort in making their notebooks strong and durable. Toshiba has been known to have build quality that, while on the whole is good, sometimes is a little less then some manufacturers.
