    Hello!

Yesterday, I was watching a DVD to my bright new Lifebook in
a completely dark room and suddenly I realised that a red LED
was flashing next to the wireless switch from the iside of my
computer. I thought that the switch was on and tried to turn it off
but there was a surprise waiting for me...
It was switched off and yet waiting for a signal! As soon as I placed my mobile phone next to it,it was immediately connected!
The only way I could find to solve this problem was to completely disable IR from the control panel which was obviously not what I
    really wanted to do.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot!!

Im not sure that i can help you but i believe the IR port is next to the wireless switch. On my old Dell, the IR would always be on unless you disable it in windows when you dont use it. I believe there is no physical switch to turn IR off.

Right, there is no physical switch for IR. I actually recommend disabling it in the BIOS if you don't use it, one less thing to sap battery.
