Anyone know if the E8020 and S7020 have that neat scroll feaure on the touchpad? The thing where you just press on the right and move your finger up/down to scroll the window

Also is there a button or key shortcut for enable/disable bluetooth?

What is the Norton Ghost good for? An Image of the HDD is to huge to fit on any DVD? Am I missing something here?

I went to the store and looked at Amilo Pro but they didn't have the Lifebook series. The Amilo Pro looks has nice quality, OK keyboard, decent screen, but I expect the lifebook to be better...

    Thanks!

I think Fujitsus have a button between the left and right click buttons for up and down scrolling.
There has got to be a way to turn bluetooth off/on.
Yes you can make an image with Ghost. Personally prefer Acronis True Image. There are some settings were you can play around with the compression levels. I store my image on an external hard drive which would give you more space than a DVD.

    Thanks!

How big is your image approx?

Just to be curious since IBM might be an option for me. How good is the flexview? I assume you have an 1440x1050? Is it worth upgrading from 5400 to 7200 rpm?

The things I miss with T42:

    - Windows key, swapped FN & CTRL.
    - Somewhat proprietary HDD installation. Hidden partion. What if I want to install diff Windows (vista) or buy a new disk?

But would sure like to have the flexview since I believe it to be better than Fujitsu, but I haven't seen a Lifebook en real life...;-)

...and I would like to have a DVD-DL burner. IBM doesn't have that I think?

my Fujitsu N6210 has the scroll feature and the scroll button, it is really nice when i'm using the touchpad to have that scroll button and scroll feature, i like it better than apples wack ass 2 finger scroll ****.

I don't believe my E8020 had an easy scroll.. it did have a clunky scroll button between the left and right buttons.

the Amilo line is made by Uniwill and resold as Fujitsu-Siemen's Amilo line.. some of these models are sold in the US as "built on Uniwill" or through other OEM names..

I believe the Lifebook is built by Fujitsu themselves..

Like circa, mine has both. I think the easy scroll is a driver thing, and can just be enabled thru the touchpad's software.

I tried out the Easy scroll on a Amilo Pro. While I found it nice I agree that it was a bit difficult to control. The scroller seems like a better solution. It would be nice though to have the easyscroll as a driver feature. Can anyone confirm that?

The Flexview is very good, but is a different type of screen than the Fujitsu. The only way you'll get dual layer on an ThinkPad T42 is an external.
