Any information regarding the E8210 battery runtime (please specify if integrated or discrete graphics) and the keyboard quality (specifically keyboard flexing which has been a weak point of Fujitsu laptops).

Any other comments would also be appreciated. I'm trying to decide between the E8210 and a Dell Latitude D820.

    Thanks,
    Harvey

This is what I have found when testing the E8210:

I saw that and your review is what prompted me to try to get further input. Also, I'm very disappointed in Fujitsu's return policy - if you customize a system you can't return it. This coupled with their dropping of PortableOne as a dealer had led me to consider a Dell Latitude D820 instead.

    Thanks,
    Harvey

It would be nice to hear opinions from other people who own or tested this laptop. I know my mini review was a bit negative, but that's just what I felt about it. You know, if you buy a new car with scratches on it, you don't see that the car is powerful and overall nice. You see the ugly scratches all the time. So maybe those little issues with my E8210 frustrated me so much...I don't know.

Maybe you should consider also HP nc8430. I was looking also onthe DEll d820, but it has no S-video output that could be useful.

I commented on the mini review a few days ago- Ill add more after using a friends e8210 again yesterday. I did not experience anywhere near that kind of flex on the keyboard. If I pressed harder than when typing, it had some flex, but nothing like above photos. Really. Personally it was not a major source of concern for me, but to each their own. I cannot comment on battery life-didnt use it. My overall impression was that it seemed to be strong where it needed to be, and a nice weight for its size. I liked all the ports (especially ones infront) and the modular bay and the screen is gorgeous. The eraser tip and touchpads nice touch too. As far as customer service and returns-Id deal with fujitsu over Dell ANY day. When I have an issue with my dell it results in numerous calls, hang ups(!) and different answers from each employee. Very frustrating. Im not sure if fujitsu has changed policy recently but I returned a loaded n6220 several months back, with no problems at all. Thats my experience anyway.

The problem of keyboard flexing could be fixed. It's not hard to do it. I had S7010, and I fixed the flex. If I have some time this weekend, I will take some pictures how to do it based on my experience. Definitely, Fujitsu customer service and notebooks are better than HP's.

Take a look at the NC8430. Better build quality then both the Fujistu and D820, better graphic card and no keyboard flex.

I've given my (quite favorable) impressions of my E8210 on this board before, but I'd like to specifically state that I simply don't have that keyboard flex problem so well photographed (how do you do that??) by petrv.
And I'm perplexed that s/he doesn't see the beauty and brightness of the screen, which I and everyone else have noted. The brightness alone leaves my old Thinkpad 41 in the dust...and it's not a subtle difference.
I've never tested battery life, though. Sorry.

Does the NC8430 have a modular bay? There is no mention on HP website.

@zenitu have you removed the keyboard from the notebook, i'm interested because i have spilled some liquid on the keyboard, and the keys are all sticky now, please tell me how you removed the keyboard.
