S6231 Owners,

I am currently torn between the Sony S series (ATI 9700) and the S6231. I love everything about the Fujitsu, but the shared graphics. I don't really play many games, but if I am going to spend $1800 on a laptop, it might be a nice option to leave open.

NOW for the question....

I would like to hear from S6231 owners with personal experience only. I want to know what is the most 3D intensive program that you have used on the Fujitsu and how well it ran (games, premiere, whatever).

Please- I am only looking for personal experiences. I understand the downfalls of integrated graphics, and the greatness of dedicated cards, but I am just looking to see what others have accomplished.

Thanks,
BTW: I am currently running a Sony Z505ls, PIII 750, 256MB, 30Gb. It may be a little slow, but I just love the portability.

Brian,
Thanks for the quick post.

If someone has played Knights of the Old Republic 2 on the S6231, I am really interested to know how it plays. I was addicted to the first one (played on my desktop) and it would be great to get part II mobile.

Rome Total War runs well. Rise of Rome runs great. UT2004 runs well on mostly low settings.

Just to clarify, Rome - Total War ran pretty well on lower settings for me.
