    External modem needed for n6010?

    I'm not sure if this post belongs here or over in hardware. Sorry. Moderators, if I've chosen wrong section.

    Looking closely now at the Fujitsu n6010 in comparison with the Toshiba Qosmio. Have hit this snag in the fine print:

    I've just noticed that the N6010's modem is NOT supported with dial-up connections in Australia - or at least in Fujitsu's tech specs, that's how it appears.

    Can someone from the Boards or from Portable One clarify? My laptop, whichever one I choose, will be spending at least 40% of its life in Australia.

    Is an external modem the answer? Gawd, I've never used one. Don't even know what they look like.
