    Hi,

I just recently purchased myself a FS Lifebook S6420. It's a pretty solidly built machine aside for a little too much keyboard flex and noise. Another problem is the fan. After booting into windows it starts blowing and then goes silent again and even me not doing anything it starts blowing again after a few minutes. It's really irritating in class situations and during nights when I'm trying to write stuff in quiet. Is there any way to control the fan?

    My S6420 is the usual deal with P8600, 2Gb, 4500HD and 160Gb.

Figured I'd ask here first before contacting the support and complaining about the fan.

Clean out the fan and make sure it's not obstructed. Run in low power mode if you can. That'll help keep a lid on the fan noise.
