    Hi.
I have browsed the forums here quite extensively. Now I am pretty sure I want to buy a Fujitsu Lifebook S7010 as my next notebook. However, some questions remain:

    - What's the value in having the Dothan, 1.7 GHz, over the Bania, 1.5GHz?
    - Is there any value in buying the machine with the Intel WLAN-module, hence "7010", or is the "7010D" with a third-party WLAN module performing equally well?
    - How is the RAM clocked: 266 or 333 MHz?
    - How long does it take to charge the first battery?
    - Does it come with a multimedia jack, i.e. combined stereo- and video-out?
    - Are the grafics alright/state-of-the-art (IntelĀ® 855GME with integrated 32-bit 3D/2D graphics core with dynamic video memory technology) for normal usage, DVDs, Photoshop, usually no games?

I extremely appreciate all responses and inputs. Thank you very much for your effort!
    Til

    You should buy from www.laptopsinc.com

Here is a PDF about the product:
    http://www.computers.us.fujitsu.com/www/content/products/notebooks/brochures/S7000D.pdf

    1) http://www.tomshardware.com/mobile/20040510/index.html

    2) 333mhz

    3) Unsure (See PDF above)

    4) See PDF above

    5) It is shared video memory, so it is not even close to state of the art. It will be fine for normal usage and DVDs. I do not know about photoshop.

See this message board link about the graphics

    Hope that helps!

I don't have much to add. I don't think Dothan will have a huge impact on the thin and light market, but I'd wait for it anyway because I like to have the newest tech, even if it really doesn't matter that much. As for the wireless card, I have the P5020D which does not use the Intel card. I like it just fine!
