    Hello everybody.

I'm trying to find out if I can upgrade the memory of this laptop to 4 GB. Here are the technical specs of it:

    http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/Resources/82/250625940.pdf

    The model I have is a C2D 7200 with 2x512 MB DDR2 533 MHz. Would this memories work: OCZ 4GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 NOTEBOOK?

    Thanks in advance.

You would only be able to use about 3GB, and even if you switched to a 64bit OS the chipsets were still stuck in 32bit RAM addressing until the 965 chipset came out (you have the 945 chipset). Also, use DDR2-667...800 is not currently supported by any Intel mobile notebook (nor AMD I think) and it will downclock to 667 anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I will try to find 2 x 2 GB DDR2 667 MHz DIMMs. At the current price, I think I'm better with 3 GB than only 2 GB.

    Hello

does it make sense to put in
one module: 2048 MB PC5300 from MDT
    http://www.alternate.de/html/product/details.html?artno=IBNEUF
    2Bank Chip 128Mx8 MSO948-665-16
    CAS Latency (CL) 5
    RAS-to-CAS-Delay (tRCD) 5
    RAS-Precharge-Time (tRP) 5
    Row-Active-Time (tRAS) 15 luss
    Organization 128Mx8 , voltage 1,8 until 1,9 Volt
    ( or better ??
    OCZ SO-DIMM 2x2 GB DDR2-667 Kit (OCZ2MV6674GK)
    available at www.alternate.de : Art.-Nr.: ICNEM4 )

    together with
a second module: 1024 MB from MUSTANG M51286476x8N (EAN 4260025910500)

    hardwareschotte.de proid_8028339
    preis_1024MB+1GB+MUSTANG+DDR2-RAM+SO-DIMM

    = 3072 MByte RAM
    both specified as PC5300 DDR2 - 667 MHz CL5
    SD-RAM-DDR2 soDIMM 200-pin

    @ gracianobf

There are two 64 bit wide SO-DIMM memory slots in your notebook. If you populate them with a 1GB and a 2GB module, you wil get two 64 bit wide memory banks. If you populate them with two modules of the same type, the chipset of the notebook will combine both slots, and use them as one 128 bit wide memory bank. This is called a dual channel setup, and it makes you memory access much faster. So it is better to buy two 2GB modules, and 'waste' 1GB.

    I also own one of these. I have 2 x 512 DDR2@533 and I was thinking of upgrading. From what I understand in this thread, I can sub them with 2 x 1GB or 2 x 2GB DDR2 @667. Am I off?

    Would appreciate some input.

P.S: I know all about PAE in a 32bit OS.
