    Hi,

I am trying to decide between the 7010 and the dell 700m. I really want a small ultra portable laptop that has enough power to run multitrack audio programs and video editing apps like Adobe Premiere Pro.

When I am at home I will always be using a desktop but recently I have been thinking of getting a computer that I can carry with me all the time. Literally "ALL THE TIME." With that in mind which computer would be the better choice?

The way it comes down is I can get more power and features for less money with the Dell but sacrifice size. Has anyone any experience with how much of a difference lugging a 12 inch 4.1 pound laptop as opposed to a 10.6 inch 3.2 pound? Is it really worth losing the power and features?

    I just can't decide-

    Thanks

Actually dell 700m are more equivalent to Fujitsu 6220 series. If you want to really run video editing software like Adobe premiere pro then IMO get the more powerful laptop. Differences in carrying 3.2lbs vs 4lbs should not be noticeble unless you go for the sub 2lbs range like sharp actius or sony x505 etc

I just went through pretty much the same dillema as you.. except with the Fujitsu S6210 and the Dell 600M..

What leaned me over to the Fujitsu was the report published by PC mag on computer quality and satisfaction where it rated Fujitsu very highly in terms of quality and satisfaction.

This publication can be viewed in part at:

    Goodluck on your decision.
