Hi! just got my new fujitsu 7020 notebook with 14inch XGA screen.
Pretty light weight and small adapter. But the screen is really bugging me.
1. Screen is dull and has a blue hue to it compared to the S6420 sereis and my vaio notebook. Called Fujitsu and they asked me send it to their memphis center for diagnostics. Frankly, if this is not a defective screen then other laptops have better screens. Also i feel there is more eye strain and the screen is more pixelated compared to other laptop screen including other fujitsu series.
Please let me know if this a concern with the S7020 series or just an individual case. Thanks.
2. The major advantage is the portability of the laptop.

I know there has been some light leakage issues on the s7000.

Search around in the forum, I recall other's being displeased w/ the current s7000 screens. Seems to me like 1/2 posters liked it and 1/2 didn't. Well over a year ago, everyone was raving about the s6/7000 series. There's not so much raving anymore.

I dont mind the S series screen. Because im not a gamer

I don't think anyone buys an S7000 for gaming. The complaints were usually about uneven lighting and coloration as well as light leakage, particularly when watching dvd's I think. I know the screen on my N5010 is marvelous, and back when I bought it, people were saying the same about their s7000's, as well.
Lately, though, it seems like people haven't been so happy w/ 14" screens across the board. Check other forums and you'll see that people are complaing about spotty quality on other manufacturer's 14" screens as well. I bet the screen manufacturer cut a corner someplace and people have noticed.
