I was wondering if anyone with a Fujitsu Laptop with a Clearview screen has any dead pixels and if so how long have they had it? Im about to drop the cash on an S6231 and the rep at Portableone starts telling me that because of the Clearview and high contrast mumbo jumbo screen there is a greater chance of dead pixels. Anyone have answers?

I've had a Fujitsu S6210 with 3 dead pixels, but I got it replaced right away. I believe at PortableOne they double check it for you to make sure it doesn't have any. From what I see in the forums, they have really good service and there been good reviews about them as well.

Did you get yours replaced on warranty? What company did you buy from? Did they have to be in the middle of the screen?

    Thanks a lot.

I bought mines from Frys Electronics. I just basically went back to the store like a week later. At first having one wasnt't really bugging me until I had three!! Haha, but yeah, there was one on the bottom left, top middle and middle right. Dead pixels can be anywhere. To even avoid dead pixels to even start happening, don't let anyone poke your screen when its turned on, because thats how I got mines. [ :p]

Just to add on, I've owned a few and know several others who have Fujitsu. Out of a total of about 15 machines, none have had a dead pixel. I think Fujitsu is very strong in this regard.
