I'm currently tracking down an issue with my Razer Blade 14" which happens to share the same Sharp IGZO panel as the LifeBook U904.
Can anyone with a U904 (QHD+) confirm their minimum screen brightness is dim enough in a dark room to not hurt your eyes? Currently the Razer Blade IGZO setup is about 100 nits at minimum, which is painfully bright in a dark room. I'm thinking it can be fixed via software, unless the screen simply will not go any darker (PWM limit).

On my U904 I can manually set the brightness in Windows energy settings. With the hardware buttons I have 10 steps (10% level steps) in brighness levels. With Windows Settings I can more fine tune the brightness. The fine tune levels are in 1% steps in brightness.
In lowest level the LEDSs are not off but text on white background is hard to read. So, yes the panel in the U904 is good to control in brightness. Good for dark ambients. I also tweaked around on the first days. Because the IGZO display was to shiny. Now my brighness setting is between 16% - 25%. 25% even on bright daylight.
The blue touch or more cold colour is another problem or a matter of taste.
