Ok, I asked this in the thread below but I'll post this even sepparately:

    In this thread:

    http://www.notebookreview.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1790

A couple of ppl mention that Fujitsu LifeBook S7000 laptop series (e.g. S7010D) should "soon" come with CrystalView screen.

Could someone point me more info ressources w.r.t. to this info ?

    TIA.

It should be within the next few weeks. That's all we know from very reliable sources.

I was surprised when I check on the Fujitsu site. It had the crystal view screen on the S6000 series but not on the S7000. I figure that they're just waiting to announce on the S7000. The other thing was that even on the S6000 with the crystal screen they still marked it as XGA. I thought with the new screens they were SXGA.

I got a S7010d and now think the 13.3 screen of the 6210 may have been large enough considering the 1024x768 max resolution.

regarding the crystalview I have seen on the larger fujitsu models, looks like glossy glass and does look brighter and maybe sharper but I think the glare you get is as bad as a crt. I guess you can't have it all.

Yes, the glare off the crystalview screen on my N5010 is equivalent to the glare off my CRT (they are next to eachother in the same room). However, the black on the crystal view is much blacker than the CRT. I read a post where somebody mentioned that seeing the glare is like looking at one of those pictures where there are multiple images and the one that you see depends on what you choose to focus on.

What I notice were any lights reflect in the screen just like a crt, maybe even worse. You could see every light hanging from the ceiling of the frys store at any angle.
