I'm interested in the S7010 with the following specs. 1.7G, 14.1XGA, 512MB RAM, 60GB. I have the following questions and appreciate any feedback

    1. The default resolution is 1024x768. Is this typical for notebooks?
    2. It only comes with 1y limited warranty? Do you advice on purchasing additional warranty from Fuji? If so, what kind?
    3. The 60GB HD speed is 4200 RPM. I can upgrade to 80GB for $170. Is this worth doing or am I sacrificing battery life inappropriately?
    4. How's the battery life on this unit? I have heard mixed reviews.
    5. Finally, any suggestions on where to purchase this unit? There don't seem to be too many choices and I'd value your thoughts. I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question for this forum. I apologize if it's not.

    Thanks in advance

    1) For a 14" display, yes, this is the baseline.
    2) Yes, I would buy a 3 year for any notebook.
    3) The 80GB is the same speed, upgrade only if you want more space.
    4) You should get 3+ hours easily.
    5) www.laptopsinc.com or www.newegg.com, the former is usually better priced.

I just purchased this config from www.newegg.com for $1669 delivered.

the faster speed drives do not affect the battery life (per tomshardware review). If you are that concerned with battery life go for the 1.5mhz it adds about 15 minutes more life per the fujitsu specs.

I would have spent a little more for a faster drive if it were an option but I could not find anyone selling anywhere near this price and I have dealt with newegg for several years and know I can trust them.
