I'm looking at replacing my old Emachines M5310 with a gaming machine. Budget is about 2K. I'vbe been thinking of Dell 9300, but came across Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M3438 / M4438, that has Go 9800, 80 G HD 5400, 1 G RAM, Pentium M 750 for about $1800.

I've heard bad things about Dell and Fujitsu seems like a better choice. Does anyone knows anything about this particular model?
    Appreciate your help.

AMILO is not available in the States (which is where I have familiarily with models) but Fujitsu's build quality is excellent. Excellent battery life....great screens. No widescreens except for the larger models.....but they are just spectacular machines. I would highly recommend. Asus makes good quality machines as well.

    Hi,

I was also looking for a nice laptop to play games and do work on, I have searched high and Low and even beneath that to find the best price vs performance, The one i found is the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO A1667G - It has the space performance and the price tag is not too bad, I have ordered mine and it should be here tomorrow, I will let you know how it handles, but if i were you i would go for that laptop, Like the other guy said, Hp is nice but Heavy.

    Cheers

if you want a great machine that can definitely game and is still excellent quality with one of the best screens available get the Fujitsu N6210, it only has the X600 256mb hypermemory (128mb dedicated/128mb shared with hypermemory) but unless you are a serious hardcore gamer this will definitely work fine with most games.
