    Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if Fujitsu laptops these days (in general) come with both 'Vista' & 'XP' Restore CDs?

I ask this because I'm interested in buying a regular fujitsu laptop (non-tablet) and was wondering if it came with both. Thanks.

Unless it is marketed with both...probably not.

I know they were doing it with some notebooks with Vista Business and Ultimate which include the right to downgrade to XP Pro. It's probably best to put this question to Fujitsu, they'll know for sure.

Yes, it does. I bought E8410, which comes with XP Pro and Vista Business Restore DVDs.

I think Panasonic might be doing this too. I commend Fujitsu for knowing what it's customers want, and providing it to them.

Yeah I can also confirm this.

Either new or as part of the downgrade you get the recovery CDs for both.

Does this mean you also get licenses (CD-Keys) for both XP and Vista?

I got my S6510, and I don't think you get licenses for both. You can use one or the other. If you want to know for sure, contact Fujitsu.

I asked Fujitsu, because when my tax refund hits I plan on buying one of the new Fujitsus that just hit their website the other day...I like the A3210...I asked about the disc situation.
I was told that if you opt for the Vista Business, you get the XP disc to go back to XP....(businesses don't want to touch Vista.)
I prob wont care...I write papers, listen to music, watch dvds, and make powerpoints....
but that may be the answer about the disc.
