While I love my lappy, I must say I wish Fujitsu had used a better rebate processing firm. I'm another one who is having problems with them...sent me a postcard saying they couldn't process my rebate because I didn't include UPC from box (I did), and to send it to them so they can send the rebate (I can't now...don't have it to send to them, they've got it). Thought since I bought it direct from Fujitsu'a website I'd avoid these probs, guess I was wrong[ :(]

It usually takes up to 8 weeks to get those rebates back, very annoying I know. The best thing to do is photocopy all of the originals before you send so you have backup copies if they require originals too. Usually they'll just require a copy of the original, that's terrible if you had to send the original and then they claim it's lost. [ :(!]

It is a good idea make copies of everything before sending off rebates: upc codes, receipts and forms. Some rebates companies will accept copies if you call/email and they claim they didn't get it. The rebate form usually has a number you can call with questions as well. For larger dollar amount rebates, I send it certified mail. It costs a couple bucks, but then they can't say they didn't get it, cause they must sign for it. I also have a file I keep with date I sent the rebate and how long it takes for processing. If I don't get the rebate in the alloted time, I start emailing/calling. Sometimes a call/email to the company i.e. Fujitsu can help. Good Luck.

Bummer, Jeff. I had rebate problems too. Apparently I sent in the wrong 3x5 size piece of white paper on the box (there were two and the rebate lady on the phone wouldn't give me any better description of which to send her). Found this out after I waited my 8 weeks only to be sent a postcard saying I sent in the wrong thing and to please try again. So I sent in the other piece and never heard back from them after another 8 or 12 weeks, I think. Then I saw a post about how Ivan helped another P1 customer with a rebate. Emailed details to Ivan and he got me squared away. Three cheers for Ivan! So glad I bought at P1.

edit: it really helps to complete my sentences!

I used to work for a rebate fulfillment company and let me tell you I am not at all surprised you are having problems. Especially if the fulfillment company you are having problems with is the one I used to work for! [ :)] You couldn't imagine some of the things they do.

One thing you can do that will possibly push the rebate through is call Fujitsu directly. Fujitsu may want to push you off on the rebate company but complain enough about the rebate company saying they will not help whatesoever and eventually Fujitsu will handle the problem for you and make the fulfillment company issue a check ASAP.

If the fulfillment company gets a call from the Manufacturer directly about a problem they resolve it immediately.

There was on mine, but that was an N5010 last May. There were two stickers on the fujitsu box that seemed to match the description on the rebate form, so I called the rebate line and the lady would only tell me what I could read on the paper. At any rate, each sticker had different sets of numbers, so I really didn't know which to send in. I must have guessed wrong the first time. Now that I think about it, I should have called P1 in the first place and saved every one the hassle. Live and learn.

My rebate for my N6010 was processed very fast. Fujitsu was the one who sent the check, not a fulfillment company. I sent it at the end of December 2004, and got it 3 weeks later. I dont know if it is different in the States, but the address for the rebate in Canada was directed at a Fujitsu building.

Letsrok, did you hear back from them?
I just checked my status and it says "We have received your submission and it is being processed."
I mailed mine 2 weeks ago to the day. Don't think I have a good memory I just wrote the date somewhere [ :p]!

Here is my 2 cents on this: I HATE rebates!! They were invented by the devil! Why cant they just give you the savings up front?! Ok, thanks for allowing me to vent.

Gee JJ, I didnt staple and I got the postcard. I didn't staple the second time and never heard back. To think a simple staple might have saved me all the trouble... Staple in the future then.
