    Hi,

I bought a Fujitsu laptop last week and it has a 80GB hdd with 2 partitions. But I wanted to have 5 together and the original c took 50% of the hdd which is wasting my space....... then I inserted the recover disk (it doesn't come with a windows installation cd) bcos the recover disk has a IMAGE file and it prompted me for few times then it copied all files to C and begun the installation

My problem is that, it only created 1 partition which is C and the format is FAT32......... how silly is that recovery process..........

Does anyone know how to extract that IMAGE file so that I can do a fresh install with all settings I want...... :( I tried Alcohol, but it doens't recongise the format of the IMAGE..... help

You can buy a software like partition magic or boot off the knoppix live cd and use qtparted to resize your partitions.
    Check out www.knoppix.org

The notebook comes with a windows xp pro licence, why not customers can't get the original windows but a IMAGE? So, why pay extra $$ to get a software to fix this problem......hm......

That's how it works now with almost everyone, they don't ship the full CDs very often.
