I just bought the s6231...which i chose over the sony vaio s360 and t43 for a variety of reasons, one of which was cuz of the screen's superiority. I was just wowed by its sharpness and brightness when I saw it in the stores...

However, when i opened it, as hard as it was, I have to admit i was a tad let down...is there a way to tweak the image quality? i know u can adjust contrast, gamma and brightness thru the intel graphics settings...can anyone shed some light on this? also, is this screen like a hybrid between traditional lcd and total reflective screens ala sony?

i have noticed, a sharper wallpaper definitely makes it look better...and also i think ive been spoiled by my NEC 17" LCD 1765lv or something...the glossy one...its by far the best monitor ive seen.

    B,

Did you also check the resolution? If it's too low, it'll look blurry.

True.. if the resolution is not the native one for that screen .. your graphics card will enlarge the lower resolutions to fit the screen and make everything blury.
