    Hi guys,

This is an urgent question for I have two burning deals. I'd make my day if I heard your opinion. After a week of searching hi and low I seem to have found what I've been looking for. Now I have to make a choice - Fujitsu S6210 (13.3, 512, 60Gb) or S7010 (14.1, 512, 40Gb).

I am going to use the notebook for doing my evening work (primarily word processing, I-surfing and diagramming, plus occasional DVD watching) for 3-4 hours daily and up to 8 hours during weekend. Here are my questions:

    1) I would really want a bigger screen. Will 14.1 make a noticiable difference over 13.3 (w/ CV)? I have myopia and wear contact lenses so this is VERY serious for me.

    2) Does any of you know what notebook looks sexier. I know tastes differ, yet I'd want to hear from those who had a chance to compare. From what I see S7010 has a more stylish business design while S6210 is more flashy. Right?

    3) I can't understand if a docking station is included with s7010. Does it sell separately?

    4) Any particular reasons to choose one of the model you are aware of...

    Thanks for your help guys!

When it comes to laptops the size difference between 13.3" and 14.1" is barely noticeable. WHat you should be concerned about is the resolution. Higher resolution like sxga+ over regular xga should be a concern if you have problems w3ith eyesight. If you like to ruin your resolution at no higher then 1028x768 stick to xga display becuase when you use an sxga+ screen and lower the res to 1028x768 pixel scaling may make the sxga+ screen seem less sharp then xga for which the 1028x768 resolution is native. Although this does not apply to every lcd. www.geared2play.com

    1) Yes, the 14" is the way to go. It's not a huge difference, but side-by-side you can tell.
    2) No, they're both very subtle and both look nice and refined.
    3) Yes.
    4) The keyboard is a little better in the S6, but now that the S7 offers CV, that's really the only thing.

You didn't meantion things like:

pick it up and haul it in the kitchen for a quick snack or take it to the bathroom for some meditative news reading, and then propping it on your thighs in a lazyboy recliner. Movement means smaller would be more convenient. If it's going to sit on in the same place on your desk then your eyes should appreciate the 14". My eyesight ain't great, but I got single vision "computer glasses" so I don't have to tilt my head back to read through the bifocals. The S6 is missing bluetooth, but usb adapters are pretty small.

    1) Screen size is strictly a personal preference.

    2) I personally like the looks of the S6000 better than the S7000. The compactness, the shotcut keys, They both look very simillar yet the S6000 looks better!!

    3) Docking station is not included, Its an option to buy.

    4) I prefer S6000

    I like the compactness!

S7000s blutooth is version 1.2 Ver2.0 is already out. If you are going to use bluetooth you can get a USB adapter for S6000.

NO SD OR MEMORY STICK READER ON S7000

yuri, just wondering where are you purchasing your Fujitsu? what site? And for how much?

for the looks, i would go for the S6, BUT S7 has everything now that it has CV option - bluetooth, quick-point, etc.
