I have recently purchased a new Amilio LI 1718, and the specifications, say that is has an 80GB hard drive, but when i go to my computer directory Drive C is only 50GB, i wonder if anyone could tell me why this is, and how can i use the maximum capacity of my Hard Drive.
    thank u

    1) There is most likely a recovery partition - 10GB?

    2) Is there another drive? (ie. D)

    3) There is usually much confusion with consumers regarding binary prefixes and decimal conversions. Bottom line: for a 80GB HD, you only get something like 73GB.

Yes it does have a backup partition of 12GB yes i altho though that i only have 73GB but as i used the startup cd to try to see if there might be hidden partitions, a window came up saying that there is 84000mb drive and there as an error in retriving any other information about the drive.
