I don't know if this is in the right forum, but, anyway...

I bought my Fujitsu A6025 laptop about six months ago after my previous laptop pooped out on me. About a month ago my headphones suddenly stopped working. The audio continues to run through the main speakers, even though a little message appears on the lower right hand corner of the screen saying that the headphones are detected as being plugged in. I've tried a bunch of different headphones (even buying a new pair) and none of them have fixed the problem.

Is this common for Fujitsu laptops? Is there any way that I can fix it myself without having to drive it down to a repair place?

Thanks for the help in advance!

I think the issue might be software related. Do you have Windows Vista or XP? Can you remember if you installed or updated any software before the issue started? Have you tried updating the audio chipset driver ( download it here)?
