    How to change the fan assembly on a Amilo Pa 3553

    Does anybody know how to change the fan assembly on a Amilo Pa 3553
    or just how to get the case off i have removed every visable screw from the bottom of the machine and still cant get bottom case off.
    no help from fujitsu seimens web site.

    please please please HELP

    You have to disassemble the whole laptop. Take out the LCD, top cover and motherboard.

    The fan is basically under the motherboard, it has no outside access.

    no i just removed all screws from the bottom to get to the fan but couldn't there might be screws under keyboard but can't see how this comes out either.

    You need to take out all the screws in the bottom.
    Then loosen the wlan cables, turn laptop around and take the keyboard out.
    Continue to remove wlan cables and display/webcam cables so they are loose, then take the display off.

    Now you can take away the top cover and you see the motherboard. Take away the couple screws keeping the motherboard in place and you can lift it off... now you can get to the fan.

    thank you abit fiddlely as you need to undo speaker cables as well as ribbons but done now just need the new one to replace
