I heard that cooling of Fujitsu notebooks are done from the bottom place on which the notebook lies. Therefore if the notebook is used on a desk for example it is going to close itself because of heating. Is that true? I am planning to buy a E8010 with Centrino, can it become really so hot that it closes itself after long hours?

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. Fujitsu's don't overheat though, especially the PM based models.

Yes, the fan to my N5010 is on the bottom of the laptop. I think that is pretty standard, which is why most laptops have feet to keep them up off the desk and let air get underneath. Like Brian said, I can't imagine a PM having cooling problems. The only fujitsu I heard of with cooling problems was the N3000 series, which seemed to have problems with fan reliability. My N5010 (2.8 GHz P4 w/7200 RPM HDD and 64 MB video card)runs hot, but like a champ.
I heard that...
