    I would like to upgrade my amilo 1630 memory just now it runs on
    2 x 256MB,DDR,333,CL2.5 MT8VDDT3264HDG-335C3 PC 2700S-2533-1A1
    and I was wanting to expand that to 2 x 1GB , plus upgrade my bios where can I get the bios upgrade and where is the best place to get the memory and what type and make will I need.

    Any help much appreciated from johnnys10

    I'm from the if it ain't broke don't fix it school of thought. I wouldn't upgrade your BIOS unless needed. PC2700 memory is what your notebook uses. I suppose I'd look on eBay for some used memory, but that's me.

    www.crucial.com was recommended by Best Buy

    if you do go on ebay look for "top rated sellers"... they have 100% reputation

    others may work too

    as for the bios, i agree... leave it alone
