    hi!

I'm new here, and was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I have a Fujitsu S2110, and it was running just fine, until I got up for lunch and came back to discover the LCD was just showing vertical bands of random colours.

It was strange, so I powered it off, and powered it back on. I got as far as the BIOS screen with the Fujitsu logo, and then it froze, and the screen slowly started to corrupt.

Since then the computer has not booted at all. I've tried unplugging it and removing the batter for a few minutes, to no avail.

When I push the power button, the power lights come on, but as far as I can tell the LCD backlight doesn't come on, and I don't hear the hard drive spinning.

Any hints? Sounds like it might be expensive.

Seems like the motherboard is fried, maybe the graphics card.

I guess that makes sense, though it is a bit strange since I wasn't doing anything with it at the time.

Hmm, it sounds like the graphics card, but since the S2110 has integrated graphics, it may be the motherboard.

Call up Fujitsu tech support, they should be able to help you as well.
