I have a Fujitsu LifeBook S6010 with built-in wireless, however, it is not operating correctly, nor recognizing it:

    1) The WIRELESS on/off switch on the back is set to "ON"
    2) In BIOS, under "Internal Device Configurations", it only list IDE Controller and LAN Controller, with no listing for WLAN
    3) I re-installed the "Intersil PRISM Wireless LAN PCI Card" driver, however, in Device Manager -> Network Adapters, the drive is marked with the yellow exclamation mark, with a status of "The device cannot start (Code 10)".
    4) I have uninstalled/re-installed the driver numerous times and the same results are had each time

ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated as this computer is currently running the fuel system in my car, so running a wired-connection is not an option.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

My WLAN situation a couple of months back was not identical to yours and was on a different FS notebook but my in-built WLAN adapter would not work at all. I solved this by installing a USB Wireless Adapter and using it to connect wirelessly for a short period. I then powered down, removed it, powered back on and the in-built one worked perfectly and still does.

Don't know why but it did so if you have access to a USB adapter you could give it a try.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
