    Hi,

Anyone here got Fujitsu E8410C series laptop. If yes, can you tell me a bit more about it. Few queries please:

    1. Hows the build quality of Fujitsu. I have never had a Fujitsu laptop before. I had a think pad earlier.

    2. How about the keyboard, Its a while keyboard and i sort of disliked it. But any suggestions from people using this lappy will be great.

    3. How about customer service from Fujitsu?

    Thanks & Regards

Fujitsu customer service in USA is better then F&S in Europe, a lot of people like it.

The build quality of professional Lifebook notebooks is very good. Maybe not as good as the IBM Thinkpads of a few years ago, but still very good.
I personally love the Fujitsu Lifebook keyboards. Not as superb as the Thinkpad but still very good.

But to judge, we need to know the price and the configuration.

    Good luck.

Please do not confuse 2 things. Fujitsu Siemens is not the same as Fujitsu, Fujitsu is of much higher quality, especially the Lifebook series. Like I said before, it is not an IBM but still very good. But for 300$ I would definately go for the Fujitsu.

    1) It has a much better video card, the 8400M. It is around twice as good as the Intel and it is DX 10 capable.
    2) The Fujitsu has 2 GB. The upgrade alone costs around 100-150$. 2 GB is highly recommended, especially for such a fast system.
    3) The Fujitsu has 160 GB prependicular (technique which makes hard drives faster) hard drive while the IBM has 120 GB 'normal' hard drive.
    4) The Fujitsu has Vista Business while the IBM has Home Premium.
    5) The Fujitsu has an 8 cell battery while the IBM has 6 cell battery.

I would personally go for the Fujitsu all the way.

But still it is your choice. I hope to have informed you enough.

Thanks mate. I think it makes better sense to go for Fujitsu. Well , I didn't know Fujitsu Siemens and Fujitsu are different.

you missed one point. Fujitsu has got better display its WSXGA+ whereas LENOVO has got WXGA.

    Possibly because:

    1. Premium pricing for Fujistu over Lenovo, HP or Dell equivalent
    2. Lack of brand recognition, poor marketing. When's the last time you saw any advertising for Fujistu notebooks?

Why risk big dollars on an unknown brand if you have a work machine from Dell, HP or Lenovo that has served you well. Many other folks would rather buy a consumer grade machine and pocket $700 savings.

Well, yea u r right. I have seen no marketing whatsoever for Fujitsu. Infact few days i didn't even knew that Fujitsu makes laptops too and probably thats the reason why I'm very much worried for my new notebook and thats why I was saying a BIG NO for Fujitsu laptop. But anyways I ordered it and will get it on Monday.

But Fujitsu in Australia is not as expensive as Lenovo. Dell, HP etc are cheaper then Fujitsu. Only Lenovo is expensive.

I've got the Lifebook E8410 at work and I'm a bit disappointet by the build quality. The notebook itself is sturdy enough but it overall feels very cheap. Furthermore the keyboard flex too much.

I love my Fujitsu Lifebook N6470. it does not feel cheap at all. it's build is very nice. 2 heatstinks/2 fan's. makes it very nice. and dual HDD's :D 17" widescreen. the sound on the speakers are very good. I had to call tech support one day and i was shocked a american took my call. i was like did i call the right company. lol. it was made in Japan. Japan knows how to make laptop's. i can overclock 2600Hd to 2600HD XT :D and undervoly my cpu to the lowest volt. so it run's cool and plays my game's. I wish Fujitsu would put 9800M/8800M series Nvidia cards or Ati 3870 in there notebook because i would buy one. this is my first laptop. and i am very very picky when it comes to a laptop or desktop. and i am very happy. yeah i cant maxx out all my game's but thats what my desktop is for. :D you will enjoy your notebook.
