    Is the bay battery for S6520 primary?

    Does anyone know whether the S6520 Lifebook draws from the modular battery first before going to the "main" one? The other way around? Both simultaneously? I'd be curious to know.

    I personally believe that it would draw power first from the main, and then from the modular.

    Hi Guys,

    I have a S6410 with the Modular bay battery and thought that it would draw from once first then the other, but have found that it actually drains both at the same time. The modular battery is usually empty by the time the regular battery is around 50% though.

    I suspect it would be similar for other models.

    Thanks, that's good to know. My fear was that if the bay battery were used first, then it would go through tons of cycles and wear out faster than if both batteries were used (or if the bay battery were secondary). If that were the case, I might lean more toward a second main battery -- but if the 6520 works the same way as the 6410, then the modular battery might be a nice option.
