Well just ordered S6230 today.. Funny how they call CV here as SuperFine. Also I have few questions.
Is 1Gig ram worth upgrading from 512mb?
And the 7200rpm HDD over the 4200rpm?

Also, anyone got any suggestions for wireless mouse?
    Thanx.

Can't wait for it to be delivered this Friday.

The need for more RAMs depends on your type of usage. But usually for office type of work, which is what the S6000 is made for, 512MB is enough.
As for faster HDD, you will feel the difference in windows boot times and when opening any application. I personally would recommend the upgrade, but if you don't want to pay the premium price of a 7200RPM you might want to consider a 5400RPM.

As for a mouse I use the Logitech MediaPlay mouse, which doubles as a remote control. Its dongle is pretty small (the size of a flash drive + it has a cradle for the dongle in case you want to use it with a desktop), its comfortable, and it uses invisible light (instead of that red one) which uses less batteries and it also has an on/off switch for further conservation!

But for any mouse I would recommend you try it out first in a store to see if it fits your hand and usage habbits, that's what I do and then order online.

I use a targus mini wireless notebook mouse. Some say it is too small (it is small but I don't think too small) but for portability it is perfect. I personally find the logitech mouse to large for portability (opinion will vary naturally).

Kensington makes portable wireless mice that look quite nice, but I haven't used one in person to give any opinion outside of appearance.

Many will recommend the 7200 RPM but if you are on a budget 4200 will be just fine (I just bought the basic config).

If you are looking to upgrade RAM (I will just guess you are buying from p1), you can upgrade yourself later for the same price or cheaper (plus you get your 2 sticks of 256 for souvenirs).

I would love to use portable one's services. But sadly, i live in thailand and they don't ship asia-pacific. So they dealer i'm buying from is giving me 512x1. Well will add another.

The only difference i see in the US version and Asia Pacific version is, the US got the SD/MS card reader and AP doesn't have :(. also, i'm not sure if the US got an irda port. Please confirm :p

no irda here. the s7 has one thou.
as for the mouse, after going thru 2 or 3 different mini mice brands, i finally figured out that i cannot use a mini. i just grab it in a weird way that causes discomfort to my hand and rist. So I found the mediaplay as an intermediate. It aint as large as other desktop mice (actually some complain its small for their hands, i don't), and because its receiver is small it's not a hassle to just throw in my back pack.

They're not claiming anything new with it, but a side by side with benchmarks will be done.
