I just picked up my N6010 from CompuSmart (authorized repair center in Vancouver, BC) on Friday afternoon. It had a system board failure and was replaced with a new board. Three weeks of service.
I took it home and fiddled with it, all seemed OK.
Then I wanted to turn off the computer. Hmm, won't turn off.
I left to watch Sponge Bob and when I returned the computer still on. OK, I powered off manually, then start again this time try standby. Only the monitor goes off but not the computer (fan still running and power light not blinking).
I restored the BIOS setting by pressing F9 then F10. Still not working.
So I used the recovery CD that came with the computer and wipped out everything and bring the computer back like when it first came from the factory.
Still not working.
Fujitsu tech told me to bring it back for service!!!!!!!
Awww, I am cursed by the Fujitsu God.
Could it be the technician forgot to plug a wire inside?
If it's easy to crack the notebook open, I would do this myself.
Thanks for reading. I need a place to vent off my frustration.

I can relate to your pain and suffering. Last year when I bought the S6231, the 's' key broke off. Took it to an authorized repair center in Ohio, and while they replaced the keyboard, I noticed the smashed the LED screen/meter near the keyboard. I brought it back to them again, and they replaced the LED meter, and I noticed the LCD hinge was cracked. They replaced that, and I noticed the bottom of the laptop had been cracked.
All in all, I complained directly to Fujitsu and they sent me a brand new S6231 with no questions asked. -
Hm, I hope mine doesn't go as far as yours.
However, not willing to risk anymore wrath from the Fujitsu Deity, I will burn some paper money in the shape of Microsoft Windows logo, lit up some incense, offer fruits, animal sacrifice (KFC hot wings should do it) and pray toward the east (I'm in Vancouver).
I wish my visit to CompuSmart on Monday would be my last. Amen. -

HOORAY!!!!!!!
After all the offerings to the Fujitsu God, my mind was enlighten.
I decided to unpluged the battery from the notebook. Then I replaced it back and VIOLA! it works.
It must be some garbage that was kept by the system after the repair was done. By completely power down the notebook, it completely cleanse the system from evil entity and bad omen.
Thus, no more going to CompuSmart....... at least not today
Just when I thought I'm done with repair
