[ :D]Was at Fry's today playing around with their laptops. Spent a good 15-20 minutes with the "207" they had on display there. (What is a 207? I know that Fujitsu has their model numbers from FPCM20201 to FPCM20206 for the various incarnations of the P5020 and P5020D, but could not figure out what 207 meant. Special Fry's model?)

I must say the keyboard, of which I was particularly concerned about being a freelance writer and all, is quite easy to use. In fact, when switching to a full-sized DTR, I had problems adjusting! All the keys seemed so far away! Oy!

So, now the Fujitsu is looking like the one for me! Gotta find the best deal possible now. Laptopsinc is offering a free upgrade to 512MB RAM, so that might be the ticket. I'm still looking for something without sales tax, though.

I have the P5020D and am very happy with the keyboard. I spent perhaps five minutes adjusting to it, and am now full-speed on it. I use the Fujitsu's keyboard even though I have my USB keyboard sitting next to it.

    Welcome Zippy!

Yes, I did get a P5 from Laptopsinc.com. They were pretty good to me, too!

I like the keyboard. I like the matte screen. I like the resolution. I even kinda like the tiny type as looky-loo's have to squint really hard to read what I am typing![ :D]

I'm glad to have another 5020 owner in here. Zippy, nobbie ended up buying the 5020 as well!
