I have the Lifebook N6010 and the screen went black ... well almost black .. if you put a bright light on it, you can see everything .... it seems that the backlight is not working ... someone had told me that it might be that the fl inverter for the LCD screen that went out .. any ideas ??? thanks for all your time ... Check the other thread you posted in. Hope it helps. Yes, it does sound like an inverter. http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com might be another place you can find a new inverter. Replacing one can be pretty easy.

thanks for getting back to me .... could you give me a quick description on how and where the lcd inverter is for the n6010 ... I think I found one but they are not giving any instructions on how to replace it .. thanks for all your time .... Angle

Not sure about this particular model. Inverters are typically either on the back of the LCD screen or hanging off the bottom of the screen. Which kind do you have?
