My wife dropped her aging lifebook S-4546 and the screen has gone white. It seems to start up OK, I haven't tried it with an external monitor to check for sure, but the wireless lights blink so I think everything besides the screen is OK. I'm thinking either LCD connectors or bad inverter. I took off the screen bezel and checked the connectors that I could access but couldn't figure out how to remove the chassis to check where the LCD cable came out of the mother board. Does anyone know how to disassemble one of these? Or have any other idea what could be wrong with it? I'm thinking of just ordering a new inverter, but wanted to try the connections first.

    Thanks
