First let me say...I have searched and searched on this issue and haven't really made any headway. I've had this PC for a couple of weeks now...so far I love it. Problem is I was able to connect via LAN connection at work a week or so ago. Since then I hadn't tried again until today when I was trying to install a new External Network Hard Drive. I originally set that up via wireless connection. However, others that were connected by LAN could not detect the new Drive. So I hooked it up to our Switch like the older EHDD. That was when I discovered that my Lifebook was not detecting a LAN connection. Nor is there an icon under Network Sharing Center---->Change Adapter Settings. It shows two Wireless Connections, along with a Bluetooth setup. To recap, the wireless connections seem to be fine at work and home. The Bluetooth connects to my DroidX no problem. However, if I plug in a LAN cable at work or home...nothing...notta. Tried rebooting, shutting off Modem for 2mins.
I am out of ideas. The one thing I noticed and thought was odd...Device Manager only shows Wireless/Bluetooth adapters. Shows a whole list of adapters if I click on Show Hidden from the View Menu. I did check...it is enabled in the Bios as well. I sure could use some help here if anyone has any ideas.
    Windows 7 64bit just FYI
    Thanks in advance!

Well it appears this newly bought Fujitsu has a LAN adapter that has gone bad already. According to Fujitsu! Supposedly it is built into the Main Board. So we will see how well Fry's Customer Service is. I am now wondering why if this is why the sales guy pushed the Service Contract so hard. Glad I bought it!!!! Also trying to decide on whether I want a complete new one, wondering if it too will crash, or 2. Do I go ahead and let them fix this one...hoping it will be a later version that doesn't have the same problem.
